21/06/2018 - NSPCC Safety Guidelines for Fortnite: Battle Royale

On the Safeguarding section of our website, there is information for parents/carers giving advice on  how to customise and manage the content that can be accessed by the whole family on their games consoles.

The school calendar for 2018-2019 is now available. 

It can be accessed via the menu on the left side of the Home page, i.e. "School Calendar and Events  -> Term Dates". 

To view the school calendar on the Wakefield MDC website, please enter "Wakefield Term Dates 2018-19" into a search engine.

30/10/2017 - Parent Info - A new free service for parents/carers

'Parent Info' is a free service, in which parents/carers can find a collection of articles, tips, expert advice and resources designed to help them to keep up with what their children are doing online. 

Parent Info is a collaboration between Parent Zone, which has been providing information and support to parents for a decade, and CEOP, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection command of the National Crime Agency.

27/10/2017 - Parents/Carers and Grandparent helpers needed in School

We are hoping to increase the number of parents/carers and grandparents who volunteer in school, assisting with reading and changing of books.  This will be subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring) check, which will be carried out by school.

If you can spare a few hours each week and would like to help, please contact the school office.

26/10/2017 - Cashless School

To pay for school events: 

Payments for school events, including Dinner Money, Breakfast Club and After-school Club must be paid online via www.schoolmoney.co.uk.  Alternatively, payment may be made by credit or debit card at the school office or over the telephone.
